Your Pets and COVID-19 Update

March 17, 2020

We wanted to let you know about an important change to our operations here at Animal Medical Center of Bel Air. Due to the high level of concern around COVID-19 in our area, we have decided to take an extra level of precaution to safeguard our clients and staff.
We are currently open for our normal hours and seeing patients, however are requesting that when you arrive, please call us at (410) 420-6555 from the parking lot. A member of our staff will come to your car to retrieve your pet and discuss his/her appointment.
Our staff will bring your pet inside for exam and will return your pet to the car when finished. We will also process payment outside for you.
This step will help reduce risk for both our team members and you, our valued clients.

While we are still learning much in regards to the virus, we are confident that human to pet or pet to human transmission of COVID-19 is not likely. Meaning, should there be exposure to COVID-19, it is not possible for you to catch coronavirus from your pet or for your pet to transmit the virus to you.

As a matter of good health, we do urge you to follow recommended sanitation and hygiene practices any time you interact with a pet. For up to date information on COVID-19 and pets from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), click here.
Please feel free to call us with any questions or concerns at (410) 420-6555! We are here for you and your pet!
