6 Things Cats Don’t Care About

Cats can form extremely close bonds with their owners. For instance, your feline pal may instinctively know to snuggle up with you when you’re sad or don’t feel well. She may also show her affection by following you around, meowing at you, and/or just silently staring at you. However, no matter how cuddly and lovable Fluffy is, it’s probably safe to say that there are some things she couldn’t care less about. A Forest Hill, MD vet lists some of them below.

Your Privacy

Cats likes to keep a close eye on their humans. In fact, our feline friends are actually quite nosy. Your kitty may stare at you as you are changing, and may even follow you into the bathroom.

Kitty Golf

You’ve probably seen your frisky feline whacking small objects off tables with her paw. No one is entirely sure why, but cats just can’t seem to resist doing this. It’s best not to leave breakable objects within Fluffy’s range.

Your Sleep Schedule

Kitties are very drowsy, but that doesn’t mean they’ll respect your need for sleep. Your playful pet may very well wake you up by pouncing on your toes in the middle of the night, or batting her favorite squeaky toy down the hall. Fluffy also doesn’t have many qualms about walking across your head to find herself a comfy sleeping spot.

Your Reading Materials

Have you ever left the room and come back to find Fluffy sitting or sleeping on your computer? Does your cat sometimes try to sprawl out across a book or magazine you are reading? Our feline friends are clearly not concerned about your reading materials!

Modesty

Cats are very clean, which is one reason they make such great little pets. However, your kitty probably isn’t very shy about her beauty routines. Fluffy has been known to clean her bottom in the middle of a room of guests!

Your Clothes

Fluffy is always looking for warm napping spots. She definitely has no qualms about curling up in a basket of freshly-washed clothes, or falling asleep in your linen closet. Your sleepy pet also won’t be purrticularly concerned about getting fur all over your shirt.
